Brand Overview:
Nerd Street is an esports company based out of Philadelphia that hosts tournaments for games across all genres and age groups. In 2019 I collaborated with AOE Creative on a rebrand for Nerd Street Gamers, and since then, I've continued to evolve the visual direction we developed together with a wide range of additional visual elements and treatments.​​​​​​​

Visual Concept:
The goal of the visual identity was to create a brand that would be appealing to both older and younger gamers and complement the wide range of visual styles across different games. To accomplish this we went with a black and white color palette to allow game elements and partnered brands to be the focal point when needed.

The bolt within the logo represents Nerd's ability to "power" all aspects of esports. To lean into that further we developed a series of icons to represent each game genre along large "AWSD" keys to represent PC gaming along large symbols often found on console controllers. We also developed customized skins for each character used to makes more cohesive within marketing and stand out amongst the standard palettes that gamers are use to seeing.
